3-Ingredient Moisturizer: Cosmedica's Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum

I purchased Cosmedica's Hyaluronic Acid serum from Amazon.com the second week of March. It contains only three ingredients: hyaluronic acid, distilled water, benzylalcohol. For my skin, I find that products with lesser ingredients work better than products with more ingredients; I do not experience negative side effects (e.g. rashes) on my face.

The packaging is very similar to Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil albeit more plain-looking and unattractive. But that's not important if the product performs well.

After using this almost every night for two weeks, I felt my skin was more taut and smooth. However, this hyaluronic acid serum caused dryness therefore I would not recommend this serum for those with dry and combo skin.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil for Face

I first tried Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil for Face in one of those sample packets occasionally found in either Elle or Cosmopolitan magazines. My face seemed clearer just after a couple days of use.

What really attracted my attention to this serum is the retinol. I have been using retinol products (Retin-A, Skinceuticals, & others) on a daily basis for over 5 years and am pleased with the results. Given the retail price of approximately $8-$10, I doubt this serum contains a high concentration of retinol.

The shelf life is 24 months after opening the jar.

Please keep in mind that everyone's skin is different and may react differently this product.
